The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.
Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate need to fill a Court Designated Worker position in Caldwell County.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Receives public and status offense complaints against juveniles.
Arranges placements for juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement officers.
Conducts preliminary inquiry on complaints filed against juveniles.
Recommends formal processing or informal disposition.
Formulates and supervises diversion agreements.
Maintains records.
Keeps statistical information.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
Associates Degree EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
1 year of work-related experience Substitute EDUCATION for
Experience:
NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
High School Diploma & 3 years job related experience SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.
):
Job requires general knowledge of the concepts of juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice process; interpersonal communication and writing skills.
Scheduling and organizing program-related meetings and events; and consultation, education and training to staff and other groups.
